The Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites Conference Centre & Spa is a 500 room, Four Diamond property in the heart of Markham Ontario. It is the largest hotel in the area, with one of the top hotel conference and meeting room facilities inYork Region serving upwards of 250,000 guests and visitors yearly.
In the times of the independent, technology saavy travellers, the hotel was in need of a solution that would help improve a number of challenges. These challenges included:reducing perceived check-in wait times, providing airport flight information, addressing multi-cultural needs through language barriers, and helping guests locate nearby amnesties easily and accurately thereby impacting the overall customer experience.
L Squared developed a multi-lingual electronic concierge system using a large format touch screen kiosk unit. The kiosk served as both a static and interactive Digital Signage platform that was designed to both engage and drive traveller queries with real time results with the touch of finger.
The kiosk had large easy-to use buttons for navigation that became an instant hit with users. Specific features were designed to target the problems mentioned. The kiosk was integrated and built with a database of concierge functions including attractions, weather, restaurants, flights and searches. These fucntions were connected to Google mapping for easy take-away directions and contact info via email, text or printing options.
The Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites Conference Centre & Spa was able to reduce wait times at the concierge, provide customers with information in the language of choice and upsell and cross promotehotel functions and outlets with images and videos that engaged visitors and guests and created a professional 24/7 option for information and navigation.
